I am trying to read a mini CD on my MacBook Pro. Is there an adapter or something that will allow me to do this?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

Connect an external optical drive with a carrier tray.

Regardless of computer make. slot-loading optical drives can only handle standard CDs.
