Mac Book Air and Bluetooth Headsets out of sync

I have been reading through some old posts (Oct 2014) and there was this ongoing problem where Mac Book and Bluetooth headsets were out of sync. I am having same issues. My Mac Book Air is late 2014 model, up to date to latest software and firmware and is having the following two main issues:

1) Every time I turn on my BT headset(Bose Soundlink) it it first connects to "MacBook Air" and moments later, it is disconnected. I have to reconnect it. Even if the BT device is not connected to anything else this happens. I have already swapped twice and now I have realised the fault is with Mac.

2) Video and Audio are out of sync. A little to begin with but it gets worst. I do experience this while watching Netflix but have had similar issues with I tunes as well.

Can someone please let me know if there is a fix?
