Photos uploading not working.

I have 14000 plus photos in my library. I have switched on upload to iCloud in Photos prefs but after uploading about 1800 uploading stopped. I know about bandwidth problems and so have only tried uploading overnight. At present I am uploading manually which is a bit of a bore.

Does anyone know how to get how to get upload from Photos going again please?
