Q: iPhone 5 - 8.3 - Microphone will not unmute on any app

I have some how set my phone (microphone) to mute. When I make or receive calls the microphone is struck out and will not change and the same happens on Skype. I have been to setting>privacy>microphone and all buttons are green. Where am I going wrong?

If you are having an issue with your iPhone's microphone not functioning, I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article -
