How to swipe between desktops on multiple monitors on Yosemite

I recently upgraded my MacBook Pro to Yosemite (OS X 10.10.3) from Mountain Lion. I work with multiple monitors a lot, and on Mountain Lion I used all monitors for each "Desktop" I created. In other words, each Desktop I created on Mission Control extended to multiple monitors. So when I swiped with four fingers all the monitors swiped simultaneously. On Yosemite, however, there are separate desktops on each monitor and they do not extend. Let's say I have, Desktop 1, 2 and 3 on Monitor 1, and 4, 5 and 6 on Monitor 2 (see the screenshots below). I want to work on Project A on Desktops 1 and 4, Project B on Desktops 2 and 5, and Project C on Desktops 3 and 6. If I want to switch from Project A to B, I need to swipe twice, first from Desktop 1 to 2, and second from Desktop 4 to 5. I used to be able to do this with a single swipe, because I had 3 desktops instead of 6 (all extending to both monitors). I'd appreciate any suggestions.
