My iphone 4 has gone in water and not working

IiPhone 4 iOS 7.2 8 gb after getting water it is not working

iPad 2, iOS 6

That is probably because water and electronics don't work. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of the nearest Apple Store to see about an out of warranty replacement. The other alternative is to just purchase a newer phone.


While you can attempt to "dry" the device out by putting it in a sealed bag of uncooked rice for a period of 5-7 days, it may temporarily recover, but will still eventually fail.

If it's minor water damage, e.g being in your pocket during heavy rain, you can try putting the phone in a bag of dry rice and leaving it for a few days. If it has been dropped in water fully however it is unlikely to work again and your warranty will not cover the damages as it is your responsibilty to make sure it doesnt get water damaged in the first place.....
