iTunes suddenly stopped recognizing CD's, track names

iTunes 12.1.2.27

Windows 8.1

Last night I was importing my CD library into iTunes. I was having no problems whatsoever. iTunes recognized every CD, and I was able to import every CD with no issues. Then, I lost my internet connection. After that happened every CD I inserted into my laptop's CD drive was not recognized.

Today I was able to resolve my internet problem but iTunes still does not recognize any of my CD's.

I tried shutting my computer down and powering it back up again. That did not resolve the problem.

I tried removing everything in the directory C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer (after shutting down iTunes).. That did not resolve the problem.

Every time I insert a CD into my laptop, iTunes fails to recognize artist name, album name, and track names.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
