Problem installing windows in Macbook Air 13 mid 2013

I am facing a few problems installing windows on my Macbook Air 13 inch mid 2013 model. When i try to install windows 7 in it the trackpad and the keyboard are unresponsive. I even tried installing windows 8. The trackpad and the keyboard initially work but at the end of the setup when the personalize menu comes up the trackpad and the keyboard are again unresponsive. A bit of surfing on the internet has shown that many face this problem and suggest making a bootable usb and then installing windows but my trackpad issue still does not seem to go away. I even installed Mavericks on my macintosh partition in an attempt to install windows but in vain. I have reffered the following links regarding this matter.

Keyboard/trackpad inoperative, black screen, or alert messages when installing Windows 7 - Apple Support

Some methods that I have tried.

create a new administrator user account, remove and recreate the bootcamp partition

- Put a copy of windows 64 bit iso on desktop

- Ran bootcamp wizard and selected create boot disk and download latest software (not sure exact wording but you get the idea)

- Ran bootcamp wizard again and only selected downloaded latest software

- Ran bootcamp wizard again and choose install windows

The instructions in this link

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2012): Distorted or black screen during Windows 8 installation - Apple Support

1. Fire up bootcamp, already had win 8 key but selected "download latest drivers" after removing the WindowsSupport folder off my existing key.

2. Chose same win8 install key as target for drivers (created a new WindowsSupport directory)

3. Had last option for "install windows" checked too - partitioned drive and rebooted.

4. Rebooted and hit windows installation, proceeded as normal

5. went through a few reboots with full keyboard and mouse support

6. arrived at personalise screen (windows setup) and had no keyboard or mouse support

7. hard powered off using the power key

8. booted in to mac os

9. did a complete shut down

10. booted back up in to windows partition

I removed my Windows partition (using Boot Camp), then relaunched Boot Camp and performed the install keeping the USB drive with the 5033 drivers plugged in..

Almost all solutions are from the first link but none seem to work. If someone can come with something different please let me know here in this discussion

1. You must use a USB2 flash drive. Do not use a USB3 device.

2. Your BC drivers installation is failing. It is meant to be a silent install.

3. You can check for logs in /Volumes/BOOTCAMP for setup logs. Here are some logs to check.

/Volumes/BOOTCAMP/Windows//Panther/setupact.log

/Volumes/BOOTCAMP/Windows//Panther/setuperr.log

/Volumes/BOOTCAMP/Windows//Panther/UnattendGC/setupact.log

/Volumes/BOOTCAMP/Windows//Panther/UnattendGC/setuperr.log

/Volumes/BOOTCAMP/Windows//setupact.log

/Volumes/BOOTCAMP/Windows//setuperr.log

/Volumes/BOOTCAMP/Windows//System32/Sysprep/Panther/IE/setupact.log

/Volumes/BOOTCAMP/Windows//System32/Sysprep/Panther/IE/setuperr.log

4. From System requirements to install Windows on your Mac via Boot Camp - Apple Support the drivers for your MBA are Boot Camp Support Software 5.1.5640
