I don&#x27;t see any software issues, using the original install discs run Apple&#x27;s Hardware Test in extended mode 2-3 times back to back. If errors appear (I suspect a failing HD) then take it to an Apple Authorized Service Provider to be professionally diagnosed. You can find an AASP in your area by clicking AASP Locator.

When you see a beachball cursor or the slowness is especially bad, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.   These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. Unless i am reading your etre check report wrong you have Microsoft set to startup when you log in.   Why ???When i start up Microsoft just on its own  it seems to take for ever plus a few extra days (joke) because it has to load a zillion fonts and all the other stuff it needs.Try taking it out of your startup and see what happens.
