Why does the keyboard on my MacBook Air sometimes stop working?

It seems to happen most commonly on web pages, but sometimes in Word. I cannot figure out a common theme in when it stops working, but all it takes is a reboot and then I can type again. VERY frustrating, especially considering this Mac is <6 months old.
