How configure MPP?

I have read on this forum that a good solution for the spam is to use MPP free edition.
I have installed MPP and have launch the demon but they are not sure that functions regularly why I receive still spam.
How I can control that it is all ok?
Spam Assasin already is included in MPP?
I must modify some parameter of the server mail of Mac OS X Server?
