How did my message thread get deleted from my iphone?

I would really like to know how one - only one of my text messages thread get delete from my iphone 5c - can someone PLEASE tell me how the **** this has happened. Thank you for your help and support.

There are two ways that I know of: the first it to tap the Edit button, select the thread, and delete it. The next is to swipe over the thread name from right to left and tap Delete. Sorry that happened to you!
