How can I force the color picker to use sRGB IEC61966-2.1 by default?

I recently upgraded to Yosemite and now my Apple Color Picker has become worthless for sampling accurate colors from my display. It samples colors and returns a darker value than the color actually is.

I know that this problem is related to the color profile that the color picker is using. I want it to use the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 profile but it keeps defaulting to GenricRGB. How can I correct this issue.

Mac Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

I resolved the problem but I really wish Apple would fix these annoying color picker problems.

This solution works but it's kind of a ridiculous workaround.

Here are the steps:

1.) Go to the folder: /System/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/

2.) Delete the default profile: Generic RGB Profile.icc

3.) Duplicate your desired default profile. (Example: sRGB Profile.icc)

4.) Rename the duplicate to: Generic RGB Profile.icc

How can I force the color picker to use sRGB IEC61966-2.1 by default?
