I just purchased an IPAD Air 2 and I cannot access the apps that I purchased from my mac

I have a MacBook Air - using Yositime OS. I just purchased an IPAD AIR 2. I have signed into my Apple Account bt I cannot access apps purchased on my mac with the IPAD - What am I doing wrong?

iPad Air, iOS 8.3, Mac Book Air

You need to connect and select iPhone in Mac's iTunes with the apps selected to sync.

Or on iPad > App Store > Purchased > here.

Note: Apps for Mac cannot sync or run on iPad/iPod/iPhone.

Only apps downloaded from iTunes' App Store will run on iPad.

(Some apps need the iPad version)
