My AppleTV (Gen 3) gives me an "update unsuccessful" error every time I try to restore. I tried to update software multiple times via the Apple TV menu, and then followed instructions on this community to restore via iTunes. Actually went through that process three times and it still won't work. What can I do?

Follow up... when I plug it back into the television it gives me the image that suggest that I should plug it into iTunes and restore it....
Have you been able to successfully restore through iTunes ?
The computer tells me it has been successfully restored, but when I plug it into the television, it gives me the image that suggests that I need to plug it in to itunes and restore it (again). It also shows a link at the bottom of the page, and this is where it takes me: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203028
Then you will need to take it to Apple
If you have tried restoring and the iTunes logo is appearing you could try to update your iTunes or check for updates when the apple tv is connected or take it into an apple store or a apple authorised service centre.
