Problems finding iphone on iTunes in Windows

Aaaargh! Anyone else still having problems finding iphone on iTunes in Windows. I am about to throw my phone out the window and go out to buy an android. Anyone? Help gratefully received.

I have already updated my mobile driver, have ensured I am running up to date software on both phone and pc, the phone is showing up on My Computer, but not on iTunes.

Can anyone help?
