ive tried everything here but I still can't get my MBP connects to home wifi where else my iPhone and iPad works fine..what else can I do?

Could you provide a little more information? What version of OS X are you on? Do you see the wifi network from your MBP? Are you being prompted for a password?
SSystem says I'm at 10.6.8 version.yes I can see the wifi network there.but everything I select to join it eill appear connected but after 10 seconds it says airport has a self assigned IP and will disconnect my MBP to home wifI.
