No sound output from iphone 6 plus?

My iPhone 6 plus recently got wet at the beach. After a few days I was able to charge it fully and restore it as a new iPhone, however, there is no sound coming from the speaker when I get a notification or call. The volume is working and I can hear my ringtones if I go into settings to change them and I can hear YouTube videos, but if I get a call or text, there is no sound. I've reset all settings and even restored the phone but still no output. Please help!

If it got wet and you have tried to use it, then the water has probably taken its toll on the device and it will need to be replaced. Water and electronics do not mix. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar and purchase an out of warranty replacement.

Hey Chris

ALL the functions of the phone are working "except" for sound output when it comes to phone calls and notifications.😟

I'll bet it is corroding, but it could also be a problem with the mute switch if you are hearing some sounds, but then I can tell you that most devices do not recover from water exposure. It isn't if it is going to fail, it is when. Best to take care of it before you can no longer backup and recover your data. Good luck.
