Uncommanded Response from Siri iPhone 6

This afternoon while watching a youtube video on the pad, the phone which was 6" away suddenly turned on with Siri searching for Tom Brady. I watched the circle around the microphone spin for about a minute when it finally stopped and voice response and screen text came on: "Sorry I seemed to have lost my internet connection." Both devices were connected to home Wifi with 3 bar signal throughout. The pad continued to play the video with no disruption. Verizon cellular. Comcast WiFi. iOS 8.3 (12F70). I didn't realize Siri liked football players! Thanks 😕
