I am not able to delete app download history on itunes 12, seems that feature is gone, how do i do it?

It was never possible to delete purchase history. You could only hide individual purchases. That option still remains in iTunes 12.

I'm not at my Mac to confirm the key combination. On my iPad sliding the list item right to left reveals a Delete action.

If you want to hide an app, you need to go to iTunes Store click on Purchased under the Quick Links section, then click on Apps to display the apps you have purchased. At that point you can click in the upper left-hand corner of any app (either under the All tab or under the Not in My Library tab), and click.

Even though you can no longer see the "x", it is still there, and once you click in that corner, the app will disappear from the list and will be hidden.

To manage your hidden purchases, you would need to click on your Sign On name in iTunes on the computer, then on Account Info, and under the "iTunes in the Cloud" section, click on Manage next to Hidden Purchases.
