im trying to download a song, that i put on itunes, to my phone. but evrytime i sync it wants to download every app i used to have on my ipod to my 8GB phone. all i want is one song...

Turn off the app syncing in iTunes. iTunes will only sync what you have it marked to sync.

The setting for app sync? Once you have selected your iPhone in iTunes, you go to the App tab to select your apps to sync.
RIght. I go to the app tab, and there is no selection. Just install or remove and these apps (whether it says install or remove) are not on my phone. However if I click remove it then downloads.
At the top of the tab is a checkbox to determine if you want to sync apps. If apps are selected or the box is checked, when you click on sync for the music, it will sync apps as well. A sync run in iTunes will sync anything that is set to sync in iTunes. If you do not want something to sync, you have to instruct iTunes not to sync it.
how do i keep from syncing apps to my phone from itunes when trying to download a song?
