Powerpoint maxemized issue

http://i.imgur.com/aFqGt2f.png why does that black rim appear? how do i get rid of it, without minimizing and then maximizing again?

Also when i got two powerpoint maximized on two different desktops, it doesn't allow me to have them separate. When i slide onto one of them, the other just automatically flicks right next to it. http://i.imgur.com/nRzDRgi.png this picture shows what kind of maximized powerpoint i mean.

BTW im running Yosmite on a macbook air
