Hi, I had the very bad idea to install Intego barrier virus and cannot anymore get Outlook to open. I did uninstall the Intego soft and I also rebuilt the microsoft database but w/o results. Would anyone have a solution? Thanks.
MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)
How did you delete the Intego app? Just dragging to trash will not remove it all. Some files remain in the launch Daemons area. Run EtreCheck which will show any leftover files.
If you didn't use the VirusBarrier uninstaller, you need to re-download the installer and run it. It will offer to uninstall if the software is already installed. If you have already deleted some components, you may have to reinstall it before uninstalling.
Thanks! I did reinstall and did the removal properly, but same issue w/ Outlook. I have reinstalled Outlook and it's now up & running OK. Thanks again for the good help, but wonder how Intego people keep marketing their soft for Mac.
