Safari update

I recently bought OS x Mountain Lion which seems to include Safari 6.2.4, but now see that I need Safari 7. Can I get Safari 7 without having to buy yet another update version of OS?

Hi there,

Sadly, OS X Mountain Lion does not have the libraries and framework to support Safari 7. You will be required to download Mavericks to get Safari 7 sorry.

Apple no longer sells Mavericks (10.9.5).

Your only option is to install the free Yosemite (10.10.3) via the App Store. It includes Safari 8.0.6.
