hello!
i computer froze up and crashed during a fcpx session. and now when i try to open that session, fcpx crashes or it gets stuck and cant open and i have to force quit.
how do i fix this so i can get back to work?

i just got this warning: “Untitled 1” is already in use by “mcguirebrian” on “mcguires-imac.att.net”.
does that help anyone solve my problem?

DDescribe how the computer crashed and what happened when it did. You may need to take the system to a service technician.
fcpx opens fine and all events load and work but one.
when i click on it to load, it begans then it crashes and this note comes up:

WWhat's it? The whole computer? Any words on the screen? Sounds like a hardware problem.
no just the fcpx layout window goes grey. my computer whent frozen and i had to kill the computer power to reboot. then after i rebooted, i can open fcpx and work with any library but the one that was open. now that library will not open and fcpx crashes and this info is the displayed:

i feel like the library is the only problem. is there away to open this library or correct whatever is preventing it from opening. i have also gotten this message from time to time when i try to open the said library: “Untitled 1” is already in use by “mcguirebrian” on “mcguires-imac.att.net”.

SSounds like you'll have to try opening a backup of the library.
how do i find the backup library?
The default location is in a folder in Movies.

i have no folder in "movies"? unless i am looking at the wrong movies folder?
can you be more specific as to how i can find this backup folder.

IN your home folder is Movies. If there's nothing in there either there no backups or a different location was set in library properties.
Just to add a thought…do a Spotlight search on Backups.
