How can I gift a song already purchased from iTunes?

How can I gift a song already purchased from iTunes? The particular song I wish to gift is not available individually from iTunes. I tried highlighting the song and gifting, but the gifting recognizes the whole album, not the single track I wish to gift. I'm using an iPod touch 5th generation running iOS 8.0.

You can't gift individual songs from an iOS device, only albums - to gift the song (if it's not an 'album only' track), you will need to use a computer's iTunes

As KP says, you will need to log in to your iTunes account on a PC or a computer. Then click the down arrow to see the "Gift This Song" option, as pictured below.
