Can't update driver software for Apple Mobile Device USB Driver

I receive an error message when trying to update driver software for Apple Mobile Device USB Driver. It says "The system cannot find the path specified." I'm doing this because iTunes doesn't recognize my iPhone. Please help. Thank you.

iPhone 4S, iOS 8.2
