All of my iCloud 2 stage app specific passwords were reset, why?

I have been using 2 stage authentication for quite sometime with iCloud. When they enabled app specific passwords a few months ago I set that up successfully too. This morning all of my app specific passwords have been deleted. I logged into the apple ID site and there was no history of any app specific passwords on record.

Anyone else see this?

I just want to know before I go through the hassle of setting it all up again. I have a lot of devices (ios/osx) to configure.
