can not recover iPad goes to unknown error 52

iPad worked great for last 3 years , today suddenly black shutter screen came down on job sheet

battery was at 10 % so thought this strange as seemed as though had gone flat


re booted would not come up , charged for an hour


re boots but keeps dropping back to black apple screen


have re booted in i tunes did not cure it


now trying to recover and update with in i tunes but always goes to


unknown error 52 ??? after 6 minutes or so


main ipad screen is black with update bar just over half way stuck there


tunes shows its failed ???


any ideas or has a three year old iPad 3 died !!

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi + Cellular, iOS 8.3, 64 gb

yep called them thanks , they could not solve it over phone , so had a trip to genius bar in arndale , a £ 650 iPad 3 !!! only 3 years old totally scrap , unable to repair and to add insult to injury they advised it had no trade in value against a new iPad air 2 i had to buy !!!! APPLE


i always thought they did good products but not so sure now


iPad looks like new as been in protective griffin case all its life
