Hard Drive changed and iPad no longer syncs

Due to a virus I had to rebuild my computer (PC) and changed the hard drive, now iTunes will not sync the iPad because it thinks it is synced with another computer. How can I fix this? This is the same computer, there is no other.

iPad 2, iOS 8.3, PC is Windows 8.1

The article that kb1951 posted for you in the reply above is a very good place to start. Some of that may be a little outdated but the bottom line is, that as far as iTunes and your iPad is concerned, your iPad was indeed synced with another computer. The hard drive is where all of the applications and data are stored so iTunes sees the new hard drive as being a new computer, because it is in fact a new computer.
