IN the later versions of iOS the menu across the top of the page disappears when scrolling down. This is driving me mad as it now takes two touces instead of one to go back ( one to scroll up which reveals the menu and a second to click the bak arrow). These 'improvements' seem ill thought so is there a way I can stop this happening? Thanks in advance. John.

If this is in Safari then no, to get the URL bar to appear you either need to scroll back up or tap the part of the bar that still shows. You could try suggesting it as an option in Settings > Safari : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

You should be able to go back by simply swiping from the left edge of the screen to the right over the webpage. This should make it one less step!
If it bothers you enough try the Dolphin Browser. It's similar to IOS 7 Safari. The menu doesn't disappear when you scroll.
