MacBook Pro reboots during startup. Cmd + R doesn't work

hi all

My MacBook Pro keeps rebooting during startup.

I tried resetting the SMC, but that didn't work. When I press cmd + R (to get into recovery mode) it just freeze.

Please help!!!!

What the original installation disk allows one to do is access the HDD as if one were in the recovery partition. Then you can run Disk Utility>First Aid, Verify and Repair which, if successful, would put you back in operation. Duplicate installation disks can be ordered from Apple Customer Service for a fee.


Probably the quickest solution is to make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar. They can install any OSX and be able to determine the status of the HDD. The evaluation will be free.
