Is Adobe Flash Player safe for 2015 Macbook pro

I am new to the Apple community and Mac in general. I have a new early 2015 Macbook pro 13" retina. It appears that many sites require Adobe Flash Player. Is Adobe Flash Player a safe download for my new Mac?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch,Early 2015), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

You can also install Google Chrome for Flash support - it is built in to the browser & kept up to date by Google. This means that Safari is safe from any exploits that Flash may have because Flash is not available to any other browser. If you install Flash for the whole OS you have to keep up to date with the latest version from Adobe.

Obviously you have to use Chrome for any pages that require Flash, but that seems reasonable to me.
