Second hand purchase

Purchase ipad om ebay. Has been erased ( ready to activate) but is link to iCloud account. Is there anyway to contact previous owner to ask if he/she if the sale was legitimate.

iPhone 5, iOS 6.0.2

You need to get back on eBay and contact the seller there. There's nothing that Apple can do. The seller has to wipe the iPad clean of any Apple ID association, or you'll have a nice decoration, not a usable device. Sorry.

No. Apple will not give you info or facilitate contact. If the iPad wasn't properly disconnected from its owner's icloud account, send it back and get your money back (unless that seller gives you the info to unlock it)
