i am having a problem with my ipod 4th generation. i wanted in the messenger app and it just froze. it been like this for the past 4hrs. i chat with a lady from apple she told me to backup which work but than i tried to restore and it didn't work anyone an ideas how to fix this

Not knowing what happened during the restore process:
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
