I am connected to the internet via telstra, my modem is a Thompson TG782T.
Due to a spammer infecting my email account I need to delete my current email address and password and install them new.
I have already successfully changed them on my Microsoft computer which is connected via the same modem
Telstra were not able to offer any help with the Apple
iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)
Move any email out of the stander server boxes such as Inbox, Drafts, Sent into a new local Mailbox.
To create a new Mailbox, use the New Mailbox command in the Mailbox menu. Just drag them out of the old and into the new.
If your AppleID is tied to the old email address, go to appeid.apple.com and Manage your AppleID. You can associate the AppleID with your new email address.
Once that is complete,
Open System Preferences, Internet Accounts.
Select your old email account and click the - (delete) button.
Click the + (Add) button to create your new account.
You may need to know all of the incoming and outgoing server information for your new account.
