iBooks for Mac

I just downloaded a book from iTunes for the first time on my MacBook Pro.

After the book had downloaded I clicked to read the book only to be told "This book can’t be viewed using this computer."

Is there any way around this or do I have to read the book form my iPhone which will be most inconvenient!

I have the latest update for iTunes if that helps.
