Family Sharing - need iTunes song on hard drive

My son purchased a song on iTunes using his iPhone (ios 8.1.1). We have family sharing setup, but when he syncs his phone with my computer it doesn't put the song into the library on my hard drive. Why? Also he wants the song on his computer - how do i do that? Many thanks
