3rd gen ipod is stuck in recovery mode and wont restore

My ipod is stuck in recovry mode for about 3 days now and whenever i try to restore it i get the error code 1611.When it changes to the apple sign while recovering it just flashes out and goes back to recovery mode like it rebooted its self.I dropped my ipod and it developed a crack on the screen along with this recovery screen.Ive tried almost everything and now i desperet;y need help solving my problem!!!

Take a look at the troubleshooting measures here:

Get help with iOS update and restore errors - Apple Support

If this does not help, try this:

Connect your device to your computer using a USB cable.
Turn off the device.
Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds
Press the Home button while holding the Power button and hold both for 10 seconds.
Release the Power button, but KEEP HOLDING the Home button.
After about 15 seconds, iTunes will tell you it has detected a device in Recovery Mode.
Restore your device
