ipod touch 5 time messed up and set to 12/31/69

so i've seen that this is common with ipod touch 4g's, but i have an ipod 5g and can't fina any solutions. i would prefer to keep all my data intact and not do a restore form backup, considering my ipod does not autmatically back itself up so i would lose a lot of info. is there any way to fix this without comepletely wiping my ipod clean?

Take a look at this article:

iOS: Troubleshooting issues with date and time - Apple Support

Try to reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on the phone.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
Press and hold on the Home button
Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings

In Settings>General>Language and Region is Calendar set to Gregorian?
