'Photos' space in iTunes too small, 'Other' space too big?

So I open up my iTunes, my phone is synced, but here's the problem.

My Photos capacity shows 7200 photos, but with only 909.2Mb space taken up. My Other capacity is a whopping 15.59Gb. It's pretty obvious my photos are apparently stored under 'other' now... But why is this so?

Is there a fix for this?

Screenshot attached for details. The little magenta box is the 'Photos' size.

Much thanks in advance!

NOTE: I have a 64Gb iPhone 5S. Everything else is listed correctly for their capacities, only 'Photos' and 'Other' are wonking up. 😟

Same here. Made backup, installed iOS 8.3, restored backup and used space is displayed as before in iTunes.

Interesting detail: iPhone (4S) shows the correct size, but the record is ordered with about the value shown in iTunes in the list! So there must be two different values for the size?!? There also seems to be a difference in calculating the space of voice recordings.
