My iMac is running Yosemite 10.10.3. I don't have problems deleting single pictures. What I want to do is delete everything in iPhoto. I can not find any info on how to do this. I have backed up all my photos to an external harddrive so I good there. I just want to compleley delete all picture from iPhoto. Can someone help.

Just so we're on the same page you want to delete all of the photos in your iPhoto Library, right? If that's correct just drag the library to the Trash bin in the Dock and empty it. That's the cleanest and most expeditious way.
If you plan on continuing using iPhoto just create a new, empty library.
Hi, deleteing the Libraries was done as you suggested two days ago. the Libraries are goned but iPhoto still has its pictures in it.
Then you have another library somewhere on your hard drive. Control (right) - click on iPhoto in the top border of the window to see where the library is located:
There are no photos in the application.
