Accidentally deleted Safari on my office Mac
Can I download Safari and reinstall it? Must I reinstall it from the OS disk? Your help is appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks, but when I attempt to install on my hard drive I get an error message saysing cannot install. Any ideas?

Sorry that was an update anyway. Well i have searched for you, and i think your going to have to boot it from the OS disc. However, im sure you can just choose safari from the list to reinstall.

Thanks. I had an icon on the desktop. I dragged that into the dock and deleted the icon. When I tried to open it from the dock it gave me a big "?" Of course I had emptied the trash as well. Looks like I'll have to reinstall from a disk. Relative Apple rookie. Thanks again.

Double Click on the Hard Drive Icon on the top right of your screen.
Then click on Applications.
Is Safari in there???

I tried that and it's gone.

Never keep your original app on your desktop . . .
Always in your applications folder.
But I guess you already learned that, eh?
To put an alias in your dock, drag the Safari icon from your applications folder to the dock. Your actuall application will remain in the Apps folder.
To get Safari back:
You could try doing a 10.4.6 COMBO update,
or even better, 10.4.8 COMBO update.
Or you could use Pacifist to just install Safari
