Q: Airport Express Wireless turns off intermittently (device is still on)

Has been working fine for 2 years

AirPort Express 802.11n (2nd Generation)

A few days ago my Airport Express started going from green to amber at random times. (From 1 to 25 mins)

(Knocking all wireless devices off the internet) then comes back on 30 seconds later

the device never powers off (light turns from green to amber) then back to green

I have been monitoring it with the AirPort Utility, just shows device not found

The internet is still on as confirmed by my other router.
I have rearranged ports and wires on the routers.

Is this defective? I am going to attempt to re-flash it? any ideas before I take it to the genius bar.
