I am running Yosemite 10.10.3 and downloaded another copy so as to make a bootable USB drive in case I ever crashed.
Unfortunately that copy was corrupt, I removed it from my applications folder and restarted my machine but when I went into MY PURCHASES at the APP STORE it said DOWNLOADED and would not let me download again.
Is there anyway I can get another copy.

You cannot re-download Yosemite while Yosemite is installed on your computer.
Instead of thinking of a bootable usb try thinking of a bootable clone of your entire system as a rescue method instead. Try CCC

You can redownload the OS X Yosemite Installer from your Purchases list, even with a Mac running Yosemite.

What does that mean? You need to completely delete the Installer app from your Mac (or at least hide it in the Trash) for the Mac App Store not to see it.
