I really don't want to have to keep going to the store to buy giftcards, but I would like to be able to set it up to where I have a monthly allowance for my account so it's a bit harder for me to overspend.

However, you need to leave a credit card in your account to purchase the allowance every month.
If your allowance runs out, it will use your credit card (which kinda defeats you purpose)
Unfortunately that would only help me if I had another account. I got the message (when setting it up) that I cannot use it on myself. I would rather not have to make another account because I don't want to keep track of two accounts.
