"Open With..." dialogue lists apps not on computer.

When I right-click on a file on my desktop and choose "Open With" from the fly-out menu, I get a long list of apps that are not on my computer (see below). They were once on an older computer that I migrated over to my 2014 MBP (OS 10.9.5) months ago.

Most are older versions of apps that I use, but they are not listed in my Applications folder. Just started doing this. Makes it difficult to quickly choose the right app to open. Is there a system file somewhere that is corrupted? How do I correct this? Thanks.
