Max duration of Video recording

Hi, may i know the maximum duration of video recording on quicktime player? Are Macbook Air and Macbook Pro having the same video recording limit?

I have iMac and i am considering to buy either Macbook Pro or Macbook Air. Word processing, doing presentation and recording 3-hour lecture are the most important things i need to do on Macbook Pro or Macbook Air.

I will really appreciate your advice.
