Upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.3 several months ago and this is the first time I've tried iMovie since. Can't get the photos that are in iPhoto to come up in iMovie. It shows the iPhoto icon, but not photos. Any ideas?
I had this problem too.
What I did was I had to highlight all the photos I wanted to import to imovie and create a folder on my desktop to put the pictures from iphoto in. Then when you go to import them onto imovie, choose to import from desktop and you can just click that folder.

Thank you for your suggestion. Now that I have them on my desktop, I'm having a problem importing to iMovie. When I select the import in iMovie it doesn't give me the choice of from desktop. The choices are: Movies, Camera Archive, or iMovie HD project. I'm kind of dumb with this. Can you help?
Also, I guess it's expecting too much to think I might get the program to act like it used to do and as it is supposed to do?
