Restore an old backup
When I replaced my stolen iPad, I couldn't startup the new iPad with the other's backup because of the difference in iOS, is there a way of restoring that now?

You cannot restore a backup from a newer IOS version to an older IOS version device.
You can restore from an older IOS backup to newer IOS device.
Update your device to the latest IOS first before you restore from the backup.
